The Corvette C1 belongs to the first generation of Corvettes that were produced from 1953 to 1962. This is the first true American sports car that was developed because in the early 1950s many Americans were crazy about the sports cars they had seen in Europe and often were taken to America. Until then, the sports car market in America was very small compared to the total market.

1962 was the last production year of the C1. A new 327 cubic inch (5.3 liter) V8 engine was introduced, producing 250 horsepower in base configuration, with 300, 340 and 360 horsepower options available. An external difference with the 1961 version was the lack of chrome strips around the surfaces on the side of the body, and it was no longer possible to have these surfaces sprayed in a contrasting colour. This last year was also the most successful year for the C1, 14,531 units were produced.

This Corvette was imported from the US via the UK to southern Spain. Various old maintenance invoices, inspection reports, import documentation, an instruction booklet and an owner's workshop manual are available. It is a 1962 Corvette, powered by a 327 cubic inch V8 that delivers 340 HP with a 4-speed manual gearbox. The car is painted in Honduras Maroon, combined with a black vinyl interior. Furthermore, the car is equipped with a soft top and American racing wheels, Torq Thrust Gray Polished Lip.

The current owner has taken good care of the car. All in all, a beautiful car and an absolute pleasure to drive. A true original Patina car which is hard to replicate.
