The Advance-Design is a light and medium duty truck series by Chevrolet, their first major redesign after WWII. It was billed as a larger, stronger, and sleeker design in comparison to the earlier AK Series. First available on Saturday, June 28, 1947, these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25, 1955, when the Task Force Series trucks replaced the Advance-Design model. 1952 the outer door handles are now push-button type as opposed to the previous turn down style. Speedometer now reads to 90 mph and dashboard trim is painted instead of chrome. Mid-year, Chevrolet stops using the 3100-6400 designation on the hood and changes to maroon window and wiper knobs.

Our 52 Chevy pick-up has been thoughtfully maintained kept with all original equipment. The drivetrain consists of a 235 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder Chevy engine. Built for durability reliability and longevity these 235s were used in everything from dad’s bel-air to the milk man’s 3100 flatbed delivery truck! Like any real and classic Chevy 3100 it equipped with a 3-speed manual transmission. This 3-on-the-floor set-up is a blast to drive and will make all of your friends and neighbours jealous. Simplicity and functionality were key in the early 50s.!
