Restored in 2015, this truck under went a comprehensive mechanical and cosmetic overhaul, including a new engine, radiator, clutch, fuel tank, complete rewire, rebuilt transmission and generator, and fully restored gauges, all in proper working order. The interior was renewed with original-style rubber mats, a new steering wheel, and a dashboard finished in period-correct “Persian Sand.”
To preserve its authentic patina, the body was sealed with a clear coat, retaining its original character. In May 2025, due to a piston failure, the matching original engine was professionally rebuilt at a cost exceeding €7,000.
We’ve named him “John Boy”, a trueand honest Rat-Rod, full of soul. A rare find, and nearly impossible toduplicate today.
